Festool rang

Has anyone here had a call from Festool Germany ? I imagine it will only be our side of the pond but I had a call on my mobile today a guy with a German accent saying he was from Festool asking about the TS55 and wanted my opinions on it. I did think it was a wind up at first but the number was a German phone number. I couldnt talk at the time as I was on a roof but he is ringing back tomorrow. Will be interesting to talk to him if he does ring back.

I just Babel fished one of your comments as I dont speak much German and this came up "An apple vortex and one beer and two Festool, gentleman upper."  [eek] [blink] [blink]

Chris, that would be an apple strudel, a cake type dessert! Very nice with proper English custard ;D

Don't rely on Babel fish, ask those who posted the lingo to show off [big grin] [big grin]

I haven't as yet received such a call, but if I did I'd ask for an email address to reply to, in order to give a full, documented answer and avoid any linguistic problems.

Yeah I knew it was Strudel I loved that as a kid, I just thought it was funny how it comes up as "Apple Vortex"

That was the first thing I said "can you email me the details" he said no he needs to speak to me which Im quite happy to do as long as it doesnt include the words " Can I take your card number and pin number please sir"  ;D [laughing] [laughing] oh and the guy spoke perfect English by the way much better than my German anyway.

The guides are on their way now I should have them in about 10 minutes I had them delivered to a friend as no one was in here today and he's dropping them off tonight.

What the hell, everyone's gone all German  [huh]

Didn't get any phone calls from Germany but i did get a call from a man in a van.  A Festool demo van & he is coming to see me on Tuesday to show all the new toys.  Looking forward to it but i know it will probably end up hurting my pocket  [crying]

Anyone else seen the demo van ?

Someone on www.ukworkshop.co.uk/forums had demo van coming to his workshop and he invited anyone from the forum to come over that day too nice chap  [smile]

He was quite a few miles from me round in Kent somewhere so I declined the offer but I bet it they have a good day. Bunnys bolts in Woking opened specially last Saturday to do a similar thing but they were selling tickets only ?8 and this was refundable as discount on a purchase I think.

Having a festool rep visit me at a jobsite would be great!  Every time they come to town, it's during the week when I'm working and can't break away to see him at our local dealer in town...Quite frustrating.  Don't these guys know that we have to pay for these tools somehow  [big grin].

My Festool rep has offered to come to my shop to show me things and to help...he also helped me adjust my TS75 and he is just a phone call away to answer any questions -- I have him programmed in my speed dial.  Top notch service!

I lived and worked in Germany for a while so picked up a fair bit, a lot to do with organising coffins for deceased locals [eek] but some other more casual moments [big grin].

Rob are you blind ?  [eek] I posted already in answer to your question I said they were on their way.

They turned up Thursday night and guess what?, I opened the box with the main FS PA unit in it and they have sent two of the same hand  [mad] I have emailed Festool but dont suppose I will hear back now until Monday.

Oh and Mr Festool didnt ring back today maybe he was too busy watching Germany lose the footy  [big grin]

Hi festool lovers im a Lithuanian living essex and I work in London .I am a carpenter. Today 7.30 in the morning on the train to work I received phonecall from Festool Germany, they were asking what I think about TS 55. I spoke to him for 25 mins and he asked me would you like to test a new saw. He said hes coming to England this July.
