Hey guys quick question (s).

For those of you who have Festool routers, is there any way I could get some dimentions on the bars that attach to the router? I'm looking to see if the bars would by some miracle fit into my Bosch Colt Plunge router base. I'd like to use the router on my Festool track.

Hopefully my questions makes sense. Thanks in advance.

Hello, i have a makita rt0700 with an adapter that fits the fs1400 (something similar to what you'd like to do i guess)- tomorrow will send a few picture - Lets then see the dimensions u require :)

It looks to be 87mm. I would have expected a more even number, like 90???

I have modified the guide rail adapters from the OF 1400 to work with my 3M Makita guide rail & also use the Makita guide rail router adapter with my OF 1400, but I only use one rod (ahead of the line of travel), this was before I modified the Festool guide. With a small router like the Colt one rod should be more than enough. I tried it with one of my Makita 0700's(have two for dovetailing & other multi- pass work, really nice little routers) & it worked fine for dadoing with a 1/4" down spiraling bit.

The following are the diameters and dimensions on centre of the rods;

OF 2200 - 10mm rods on 110mm centre
OF 1400 - 8mm rods on 79mm centre
OF 1010 - 8mm rods on 107mm centre

If none of the adaptors for these routers would work for you, you could always make your own...

So, oddly enough, it is 87mm???

Thanks for corroborating that, Garry!

Staniam, no pictures yet (Sorry, busy week end), just on measurement: 8 mm rods, distance between centers of the rods 84 mm for makita rt0700 - hope it helps!

Alright looks like I'll be doing some measuring when I get home, I really appreciate it guys. Never though of only using one rod or making my own.
