Just wanted to share my first experience with Festool Service.  Dropped of my RO125 (5 years old mind you) last Thursday at Woodwerks here in Columbus.  I have 2 of these sanders so I was in no hurry to get it back.  Monday they called me with the estimate for plug, bearings and brushes, which I approved.  Wednesday my sander is back in my hand.  That is simply unreal.  I had a saw worked on LOCALLY this year and it was 11 weeks when I finally went in to pick it up repaired or not.  Palsode nail gun was 14 weeks.  Unacceptable.  I have to say this level of service puts Festool in a league of their own IMO.  Guess I'll have to buy some more green. :)

Yep theyre the best.

Just sold all of my milwaukee tools (except the red stick levels that took 2 months to get) because their service is horrible

It is great when a tool can be dropped off for service instead of shipping....especially for a larger tool such as the Kapex.

I have only had to use Festool Service once and the tool was under warranty.  I found the service super easy to use and super fast.

This is better than an AA meeting or a church revival for testimony.

I agree it is nice to have good service, but realistically...
How many tools need to be sent back?
The only tools that I have needed to send back so far are the Festools (CT26... and the Karcher vacuum it replaced went straight into the bin after 2 days).

It is probably better to have a service department than extra expense in each tool.
And normal use does not include major Foxtrots
