In this thread :http://festoolownersgroup.com/festool-tool-problems/festool-ct-handle-a-consumable/

I asked what a part number was for a nozzle holder for a CT 26 Igot a couple of responses . I called Festool and they could not locate a P/N for it and told me that it must be bought as part of the handle kit. But she (festool rep) would double check with repair and give me a call back. Well they dont sell the parts individually and I would have to buy the kit.

However, Festool repair told the POC I asked that they had one and would send it out to me. No paying for both shipment or the part.

I thought that was great thanked them and asked the POC to pass my thanks to the repair dept.

FYI, this has been my experiance with festool on 2 continents, Both festool USA and Festool UK.

Do I expect free stuff all the time ?
Not only No! But heck No!

But its been my experiance to call them first before I post complaints here because I know  if they can help they will.

Obviously they cant give away the farm, but they will take care of you te best they can.

Well, I don’t expect Festool machines to break down, and in my experience they don’t. But sometimes sh*t happens and it’s nice to experience the service FS provides.

In my case (last year) the cover of one of my TS55’s came off after a fall and some of the dingus where the screws go were broken of. They repaired it at no cost (replaced the cover), even though the warranty period was obscure (I never registered that machine…).

I am with Ron on this....

Long before my video days Festool helped me out without any fuss or problem at all.

Glad things are well for you outside the U.S.
Sorry that I can’t agree with you. See my 21 FEB 2017 posting:
“Festool Quality Assurance: Disappointing > Disgusted > Domino XL DF700EQ”http://festoolownersgroup.com/festo...-dissatisfied-disgusted-gt-domino-xl-df700eq/
It took a lot of persistence - And finally intervention by Festool HQ in Germany -
To eventually resolve my Quality/Service problems here in the U.S.  It was FUBAR.
And... From reading on the FOG - About more and more of the same...
It appears - Festool’s Quality - And U.S. Service - Is slowly “sliding away.
Domino alignment registration problems - Kapex burnouts -
CT Extractor boards “frying” - And more.
Given the apparent quality of the products “eroding” -
And the “limitations” of Festool’s Service in Indianapolis -
It’s no wonder that more and more customer dissatisfaction is being heard.

As you can see by my “signature” below -
I’ve bought and use a lot of Festool products.
But... Given the increasing number of problems with Festool’s Quality/Service -
I’m no longer a “Festool Only” buyer/user.

The good news (tongue in cheek, here) -
Is that with Festool’s relentless, ever increasing prices -
I can sell my USED Festool tools/products -
For more than I bought ‘em for - NEW - Just 3-4 years ago.
Joe

FYI
My part is being delivered today just like FT Service told me it would. Only thing they could do more , is install it for me , after all its all of 4 screws  [big grin].

Big thanks to FT service.

Well, I didn't get any free parts but...

A few months back I accidentally dropped my TS55 off my MFT and luckily (I guess  ::) ) it landed on my CT Midi shattering the hose garage but the saw was OK. For a bit I duct taped the parts back together so I could use the hose garage it but eventually got tired of that and started looking for the parts to fix it. The online parts diagram showed several versions of the part and I wasn't sure what to order so I dropped an  email to Festoolusa support to ask along with my serial number. They sent back an email with pictures and said, "If what you have now looks like this, order this part. If what you have now looks like this, order this part" so at the end of the day I was able to order the right part. Even better, the new one is a TLOC where the old one was the older tabs to click in and the new one seems to make the vac quieter as well (it's not particularly loud to begin with) so win all around.

Not free but they got me the info I needed quick and with pictures :) and got the parts to me in a couple of days so I was up and running with the updated vac quickly.

Can't ask for much more then that.

Ive had some deaings with Festool UK as you know. Ive never had a problem with the even when it came to ordering parts for my NA tools.  I had to replace the plug (outlet) on my CT 26 they got the part to me quickly even though they had to order it from Germany. My RO 150 had a issue wih the  plug it plug on the sander not the cord. They replace it with a NA style plug no issues and quickly.

I like messing with the girls at the service, I used to call Kerry my future ex wife all the time. They are really nice people.

BTW Its good to see you posting here again James.

Oh part came and Im putting it on this morning
