[attachimg=6]Hello,
I was recently bought a few old Festool Tools. I was able to obtain 3 SPR Rapids in all. I understand it’s essentially a rapid straight line clamp. My question is where can I find some literature on them. I have 2 of the SPR 800 and 1 SPR 1400 Rapid. All three came with the FS Rapid Clamps and all are in mint condition. I am just trying to understand the original cost and application focus of these. They look like the image below but in 800 & 1400 mm lengths. Any input is appreciated.
I was advised from the person I bought them from that it was just a nice quick clamp that you could run a quick rip, router, rail connector, or accessory mounting on the rail.
I saw one post on the item but not a lot of responses from 2011. The pictures are from the internet but look just like them. I understand these didn’t sell well as with some of the other Festool stuff in the US so it gets discontinued. I also have a Festool MFS 700 set (discontinued). Just trying to figure out how I would be able to implement these in function etc. I figured asking the Festool gurus on here may lay some insight on application, functionality and overall use.
** Update To Post**
I am adding two pictures to show the profile of the MFS 700 which are stacked on one another and a picture of the SPR 800 & 1400 rail end to show the profile.
I also found reference to the item in Jerry Works "Advanced Cutting and Routing Techniques Using the Festool MFS Fence System" pictures and comments from his guide are listed below in the post.
