Festool T15 or C15 Drill? Which one is better and why?

I am making my final decision before I go pick up my first Festool drill, and want to know what everyones opinion is on their Festool T15 or C15 drill.

I think if a TI 15 is a possibility in the future - than a T style may be more desirable?  Or not! 

No real difference in performance of tool.

It is a matter of personal comfort.

I prefer the C15, it just feels more balanced for me. But I am a sucker and bought both.. along with the CXS.

My "C" user opinion :

I've always had T drivers until now (not festool) I tried the C15 festool driver, I use it every day and I took my usual with...
The positioning of the hand at the back of the chuck is the best for me.

There is no difference in performance. There is only a difference in grip and that's something that comes down to personal preference. I'd suggest you go down to a dealer and try both out to see which one suits you best.

I have a preference for C handles now that I have used them..Always had a T, but I don't think I would go back. I like how you can really get behind it with your hand, as opposed to underneath with a T handle. I tend to slip off the screw alot less and can set screws one-handed with ease. C handles all the way for me.

Truly a personal preferance thing.  I went with the 'C'  because I had never liked 'T'  drills.  The 'T'  feels good in my hand but in use I like to have my hand and arm positioned  in line with the bit , especially for driving screws. I also find that it is easier to keep the drill perpendicular to a surface when drilling holes. 

Just depends what you like.

I prefer the C for exactly the same reasons.  However If you use a T everyday and with no problems, you may find it a little difficult adjusting to the C

You've made me think of the real benefit with the C, i.e. directing the force in line with the bit. I didn't think about this before. This has to be really good when driving screws. I think I have to revisit the C some day. Unfortunately I already have 3xT, so it might not be a good idea to revisit C =)

I'm also trying to decide between these two drills. The only difference I can see is that the T15 has a 4.2Ah battery, while the C15 has a 3.0Ah battery. While the performance may be the same, the T15 battery should last longer on a single charge. I prefer the C15 configuration, so I'm torn. Any chance the C15 will come with the 4.2Ah battery sometime soon?

Depending on how desperate you are for a new drill are. I see the c15 is a 4.2 in the uk so it might come across I have a t handle bit will be changing to a C handle as to the force is directly in line and not below

I agree with everyone else, it is a matter of personal comfort. I have the older C12, CXS, and Ti15. I personally just like the feel and balance of the C style handle. If they had offered a Ci15 I would buy that and sell the Ti15. For me the personal comfort comes down to balance. The C style just feels more natural in my hands.

I picked up the C15 a little while ago and love it.
I think you have to look at what you are going to be using it for, the C15 is more suited to one handed operations where you aren't often using all it's torque like driving screws, if your drilling large holes or driving big lags I think the T15 would be better.

Why haven't Festool brought out a Ci15 thus far given that it seems a desirable combo.

Is it a problem fitting the impact mechanism in the C-Series form factor or is it that they want us to buy a C15 and a Ti15??
