What do you mean "send them in" ?  You can't take a tool that is 1 week short of the 3 years & just send it in in case it breaks down  [tongue]

Can you post a pic of the repair on the Kapex.  My Kapex is sticking when you pull it down & I can't be arsed sending it back.  If it's easy enough I may just do it myself.  What happened to the planer ?

These " quality" tools break down quite a bit eh  [blink]

LOL I mean send them in  [tongue]  Well my T15 works fine but has a minor problem where it sometimes just stops even when the trigger is fully pressed well im sending it in as knowing my luck soon as the warranty runs out it will stop even when the trigger is full pressed but then properly wont start up again so might as well send it of to have it check out and sorted!

Yeah ill take a picture of it dude! I left my camera with my mates and my phone is crap  for taking pictures of something so small and close up so ill post a pic on friday when I see him okay???????

I don't know why he doesn't just sell them and buy new ones that'll have a fresh warranty.

lol I thought about it!  BUT the Planer is about £380 + vat   and the repair was about £130  big difference!   Festool gave me 3 options

1. Pay for the repair!

2. Dont have it repaired but pay £25 for it to be returned to me

3. Just say forget it I dont want it and festool will dispose of it free of charge for me.   Thank you Festool

Here you go WoodGuy!

Sorry took so long!

They have to replace the arm(the thin plate you can see with some odd curves) which retracts the blade guard because that wears a small indent which causes it to stick!  They also replace the bearing wheel but to do this they drill out the rivet and then stick a bolt and nut to hold fix it in place as you can see!  Its ALOT smoother now MUCH MUCH better!  I like using my Kapex now!
