festool vac hose comes off tool too easily

Get a new hose end. Remember they're only cheap plastic & rubber, and have a limited life expectancy. If less than 3 years old it can be renewed for free at your local retailer provided you've registered the "parent" vac & kept the letter of warranty. It's a limited life consumable that's designed - just like rest of their product range - for a professional working life of three years. Any time extra is "free" to you & an "opportunity expense" to the manufacturer as you won't be renewing the tool in that time.
I sometimes feel that expectations for Festo products are perhaps a trifle unrealistic. Just because you've paid a premium price there's no reasonable guarantee implied or elicited beyond the statutory period. Festo, like most other manufacturers sell fairly cheap tools at fairly expensive prices. You can't expect miracles.

With use the vac end becomes more loose. I have to replace them every 3-4 years. Mine comes loose when I use it with my DTS400 or ETS125 because they have small dust ports. But my old sloppy one does not come loose with the RO150, ever, because that one has a very long dust port that sticks deep into the nozzle.
Festool is already aware of this, because they have already released an updated version that locks in place. Though some people here on the FOG are not so charmed about it. I myself haven't used it yet.

I have not experienced any probs with the hose connector coming loose off the RO150 or the RTS400 sanders; I think I might have had the odd occasion when the 27mm hose connector has come loose from the TS75 port, but on that port the hose end slips inside the smooth tool port, whereas on the sanders the hose end fits over the ribbed tool port (and I usually use the 36mm hose on the TS75 anyway).
As Alex has mentioned, I have some serious concerns over the design of the new hose connectors, as discussed herehttp://festoolownersgroup.com/festo...cleantec-hose-connectors/msg477457/#msg477457
I keep meaning to write to Phil Beckley the UK Festool man here to get some official recognition of the issues (yes, albeit First World problems for sure!)
In actual use, IMO the old design is superior, so be careful what you wish for! - and I have not had the problem you (or Alex) described on any of my three well-used standard hoses.

My old hoses are a lot easier to get onto the dust port of my OF 1000 router.
As said above, Festool have this cracked and I believe that there will be some retro fitting options for tools that you might have already. There are two elements - the new hose end and the new dust port on the tool.
I have one of the new hose ends but have not shown it yet as I have no tools with the new dust port. This may change very soon as I hope to be showing some new kit which Festool UK will be lending me.

I now have the 3 new baby sanders and these are going to be the subject of video work very soon. They have the new twist lock dust ports and in the box (I assume this is standard for everyone) is a free new style 27 mm hose end. I suspect this will be a free item for a limited period after which everyone will be assumed to have one.
