A professional finisher shared this tip with me and I thought I would pass it on.

In Ohio spraying finish/paint in the winter can be a bit challenging due to the cold weather.  Finish products don't spray or dry as nice when cold.  We do not have an air-makeup unit (ideal solution) to warm the incoming air to compensate for the air the exhaust fan is pulling out.

So on his advice we purchased a heating mat to warm our finishes http://www.farmerboyag.com/supplies/kane-pet-heat-mats.asp

It worked great!  I was able to easily spray a beautiful finish (we use a kremlin air assisted airless gun and ML Campbell finish products.) and the heat mat made the difference!

Anyhow I just thought I would share with you all as well in case in would help someone else.

I wrapped the mat in a heavy duty trash bag (see picture below)

Great idea! I think I have an old waterbed heating pad around here that would work just peachy for that application. And I get to recycle something, which will make the Mrs. happy!
