First Festool purchase - WOW!

Semenza I thought I had to have the 118" for the TS 75 right?

Oh yeah, you'll want the 118 for the 75.

Since you can still exchange that 2700 for a 3000mm guide rail, you should...  Not only will they be just that much handier used 'loose', one day you may wish to use your long guide rail with the guide rail brackets installed on either a group of MFTs, your own 'jumbo' MFT or even a well equipped cutting table.  You cannot machine those full sized sheet goods MFT-style with the 2700mm guide rail.

Also consider the rail with holes for 32mm shelf pins - just in case you might later want to go in that direction, it might later save you buying a third rail just to get the holes

I shout AMEN to that!!  And wish I had been informed before making my purchases.  I have the rail that comes with an MFT 1080, two 1400 (55"), and later bought the short (1080 ~ 42.5 ") hole drilling rail and most recently a 3000mm rail.  Had I known better and planned better, I likely would have purchased the longer hole drilling rail and not a second 55" rail.  It turned out that my second project needed 5 rows of shelf pin holes on each of two sides of the cabinet that were 26" wide by 84" long.  Doing that with the short hole drilling rail took a good deal of gerry rigging, but worked perfectly to align the holes with HD drawer slides (each attached to the cabinet side by 5 Euro screws).  Storage and transport issues have to control the maximum length, even if your available funds don't.
