Flexifoam abrasives

Any of you European guys familiar with Flexifoam foam backed abrasives, I have samples to try out and so far I'm very impressed. I'm an agent for Famag and thought these would be a natural add-on. I never normally aim for very fine finish but would like to hear if any one has any experience with these.

By flexifoam back do you mean the waffle type material that is also used for sanding mats and tool drawer liners? If so 3M sells a product about 2.5" wide by 4" long. I've used it in 80 and 180 grit on a lathe. It works great, no heat build up.

Not the mat material, it's made by a company in Belgium called Flexifoam. They make it on rolls, blocks and pads in a range of grits to give the smoothest finish I've come across.

Hi John,

I use the red Flexifoam double foam type of pads and the single ones which come on the rolls.
I do like the double foam type the best because you always have a good grip with your fingers on the grid.
Both types last very long and you can use them for dry or wet sanding.
Afterwards you can clean them with normal water. They also claim no hand fatigue.
These are the best foam abrasives I have used until now.

That's the stuff, my feedback so far has been 100% but it's always good to get independent feedback. When I tried it on oak I was very impressed on the finish and comfort, it also seems to last well compared to the sanding blocks I've used before.
