Thank you for the kind words and also for the kind [poke] [poke] (plural).
I have been concerned about the possible large success of this project ever since Tom brought up that point earlier in this thread. I had the prototype shipped to Festool so that I could get comments, make changes, and get the ball rolling while I was there for the week of training classes. Somethings are easier a more fun to do in person.
Although I gave Shane permission to open the box prior to my arrival, he waited so that it could be my show. Unfortunately, flight cancellations and delays prevented Mr. C from seeing it last week, so a little more patience is required. I do not expect any issues - but there are a few changes that I would like to see happen to the existing prototype. One only came to my mind while sitting in the classroom and looking out the door.
If you look at the better quality picture below, previously used for a sneak peak I plan on changing the following items:
1. The FOG logo - designed and provided in digital form by Shane [thumbs up] - is currently the correct Festool logo green. I want to change it to better match the latches which are a brighter color. The poster on the hallway wall in Lebanon convinced me of that. Every time I looked up, the green speed selector switch on the Rotex grabbed my attention versus the Festool logo.
2. The prototype's printing has some minor voids caused by the texture of the systainer. The logo on the prototype was printed twice. No matter what color is used, the printing will be done either three or four times. That will also enhance the color somewhat - it is tough to overcome the dark blue background.
3. The logo will be moved down slightly to get it away from the dimple just above the "O".
That's all the changes I would like to see, and all of these can be accomplished without any additional project costs.

I have been getting praise for this project, and although it does make me smile, many have been involved and should be recognized and I think that it is more appropriate that some others get recognition - because this would not be happening without their involvement:
Jonathan (UK) and Wayne (South Africa) - the designers and the renderers of the Fogtainer. Jonathan has also offered to aid with distribution in the U.K. if it is feasible.
Shane (Festool) - the logo designer and provider, my advisor, a great guy, and my friend who listened when my frustrations elevated.
Christian (Festool, Tooltechnics Systems) - the push to make this happen, the opener of doors, the grantor of permissions - also a great guy
Franck (Tanos US) - the guy who has had to deal with my long emails and phone calls, the deal maker, the roadblock remover
Frank Shallow (my systainers.com) - a supporter, a supplier, a true fan of the FOG
Dan Claremont and Bob Marino - supporters, advisors, always ready to help
The class attendees this past week at Lebanon - Thanks for your input, advice, and also for not sharing information early. What a great bunch of guys.
and finally, thanks to the fellow Foggers! If you didn't embrace and support this project from the beginning, it would have only been some great pictures and renderings from some extremely talented guys.
Next week I will be starting a separate thread just devoted to the ordering of Fogtainers so that it helps keep things neat.
