Bought two Mixing Mate paint lids, gallon size and two Poetic Revolution Nexus 7 (2013) cases. Amazon doesn't ship these items internationally so decided to use a forwarding service, viaddress.com. Checked prices, entered weight AND shipping dimensions, got a quote and it was reasonable. Ordered everything, arrived at the viaddress site, combined the shipments, and got an option to ship at $155! Complained, got the option to repack the goods, to make them less bulky, new shipment cost $88. Still much more than my original quote. Apparently their shipping calculator doesn't take in account the dimension, even if you enter it, stinks big time if you ask me.
So I have the option to ship this to me at double the value of the goods, not calculating the taxes I still have to pay when I import them. Or to offer it to anyone on the FOG who can use it for the better.
Don't need anything for it, but have to check shipping cost to your location.
Sure someone can use the lids, and holidayseason is right around the corner so those cases can be nice gift to a relative or friend.
It's my way to give something back to the people who make this site a goto place for anything wood and Festool related. So I would like to give it to somebody who actively contributes to the FOG, writen a review, made sensible comments, answered questions, etc...
