OUCH, my wallet hurts after this  [blink] I thought i was getting the limited eddition installers kit but it ended up being the 2013 centrotec kit (still very usefull)

Last week my trusty makita kit that ive had for years finally kicked the bucket (literally) The jacobs chuck fell off (shattered) and the trigger had became sticky. I was able to get through the rest of the week with my little makita m12 driver while I waited for my new drill to come in :D

ive had my eye on these drills for a few years always playing with them while being in woodcraft just never pulling the trigger because i had a working drill. Numerous times over the years i have longed for the features these drills provide, especially the built in right angle drill adapter.

I Used the right angle drill adapter today for an absolute impossible hole which saved the need for a hole in the drywall. Having the right angle drill attachment right next to me saves so much time! so far no complaints, will to a full review for you guys after a few weeks of heavy use!

Expensive, yes. Worth it...ohh hell yeah for features alone and because this will be the last heavy duty drill I buy for the next decade atleast!

The two systainers

Wood/Metal Drill bits up to 1/2"

Drill with centrotec head on it

Without

Traditional jacobs chuck (what were all used too) Has an awesome ratchet system it it!

Eccentric Bit head, allows you to get right up into a corner of a cabinet, super handy!

Right Angle Head

Centrotec Head on

Jacobs Chuck on Right Angle adapter

Battery Indicator and torque setting dial at the top

Low/High gear & Drill/Drive

Festool also allows you to place a bit directly into the drive shaft for a super stuby drill.

The drill is perfectly balanced when in your hand and you can tell that the ergonomics was designed for the tradesmen that uses a drill all day. It just "fits" with your hand. Absolute phenomenal drill, she will NOT be babied.Ill report back after a few weeks of heavy use.

Nice pick up!

To be honest, when I first looked at a Festool drill I said to myself "NO WAY am I spending this kind of money for a drill".

Then Festool release the CXS at a very nice price.  After using the CXS for a couple weeks I found myself wanting a C15. Just hoping I would

"drop" my Makita.

Once you factor in the different heads available for the drill, it's like buying 3 drills for the price.  The eccentric chuck and right angle attachments

are well worth the purchase of a set.

So once your wallets gets out of jail....what's next on the Festool wish list?  [wink]

Nice stuff !!
I have a 2011 centrotec set too and I could never work without...
2013 version is more suitable for all, now you can add some extra centrotec accessories to your business

Enjoy ;)

Have had the drill for a few weeks now, Today I really put it to the test boring 1-2" holes through double and tripple top plates...Where my old drill would be bogging down this just powered through it like it was nothing!

My only complant is the jacob's chuck has to be cinched down really really tight for it to hold the bit in, As i was pulling the bit out of a hole it slipped and just about lost my bit down the wall  [scared]

Im scared of the belt clip to be honest, Maybe working on a scafold its nice but not to walk around with....I learned that lesson the hard way a few years back, fortunately it was my brand new hardwood floor i ruined and not a customers  [sad]

I want one of those bad boys... and a cxs. Whats the update, have you been working this little porsche of a drill?
