Looks like a conference room table microphone. Furniture installers always make a big deal about cutting stuff into "wood" tops.

It looks nice!
 
This was pretty straight forward. MDF core with a contact paper print and a clear coat on top. The right diameter bit and a little template work and it was good to go. 12 in total, and this will serve as our proof of concept when we pitch a similar transition path to other customers.
