Grizzly wet grinder wobble

I don't know if your wheel classifies as a wobble. Wouldn't an uneven face cause the same wobbly roll as seen in your video?

If the shaft is straight what happens if you mount the wheel on the shaft letting the wheel hang over the side of the CI tablesaw top then roll the shaft and observe the wheel. Where is the wobble then. Is it the whole wheel or just the face of the wheel that maybe needs to be dressed.

I am curious what is the hub of the wheel made from. Is it metal or plastic.

There were 2 roll pins. Got them removed.  note to self - order pin punch. I managed to use center punch but ended up breaking one lol.

Here is a video of the shaft.  Looks ok to me.  not sure how else to check it

Here is a video of a wheel. It does wobble.  I think thats the culprit

But good news is that wheel and roll pins are avaialble and are about $15 plus shipping.

Any thoughts?

Normally you use 2 vee-blocks to hold each end of the shaft and then a dial indicator to check runout. However your method is fine in this instance because your wheel runout is excessive and that amount would show up immediately when you roll the shaft across the table surface.

Alex just purchase the wheel, a couple of spare roll pins, the proper size pin punch and go forward.  [smile]

Just make sure the replacement wheel also isn't out of round before you button everything up.

Well got the replacement wheel, roll pins.  checked the wheel before assembly and it was rolling true no wobble.  Reassmebled everything and it still wobbles lol
Its weird.  All the parts by themselves seem to be working correctly but something gets misalligned during full assembly and operation.  here is new video

at this point i'm out of ideas.
