I don't know if this is normal, so I'm throwing it out to you kind folks.

When I start my saw and for the first second or two it grumbles, but once up to speed it is smooth.  This has been the case ever since I purchased the saw.  I recall bringing it back to the vendor, they pulled another of the shelf and it too made the same noise.  I guess in light of the Kapex issues (I own one) I am wondering if there is something going on with my TS.

Obviously, having the forum hear this sound would be better, but I'm not sure how to upload and post.  Let's try it sound unheard for now.

Thanks,
Chris

Thanks Scot,
I figured as much since I do recall the vendor taking a new one off the shelf and the sound was the same.

It is gears and motor speed control. Arbor speed is constantly adjusted causing gear back lash. It's normal.
