Guide rail adaptor for OF1400 vs OF1010

Can anyone tell me the difference between these two? Are the bar distances different? I bought the one for the OF1400 (though I don't have an OF1400), hoping to adapt it to my old router, but failed. Now I want to buy an OF1010 and am unsure if I can use the OF1400 Guide rail adaptor with the OF1010. Can anyone tell me the precise differences?

The mounting bars from the of 1010  have more space in between compared to the bars from the of 1400.
Unfortunately the Guide rail adaptor for the of 1400 will not work with the of 1010.
I know that this is especially inconvenient when you have both routers. You ned each and every accessory twice.

Save your time and effort trying to adapt one for the other.  Buy the one that fits your router or router to be.

The guide rail adapter was included in the 1010 I purchased recently (in the USA).  I suspect that is the case with the 1400 as well.

According to the 2018 Festool catalog (printed edition) the guide rail adaptor (called a guide stop oddly) is including with th the 1010 but is not with the 1400.  It is available separately for $59.

This is exactly the reason I abandoned the limited Festool options and went with Microfence. One fence...one edge guide...one micrometer setup...one circle template that can be used with all the Festool routers and also with 50-60 other routers. It may be slightly more expensive but it’s a lot more flexible, and a lot more accurate.

Metric and imperial are also options with Microfence with the imperial version having .001” resolution while having only .0005”-.001” backlash.

Or forget both and get the Guide Rail Interface setup from MicroFence and the mounts to both the OF 1010 and OF 1400! Pricey, but very nice stuff and what isnt that has to do with Festool?! LINK

You say pricey but is it significantly more than buying both the 1010 and 1400 guides?

I'm just learning to use my Microfence stuff.  Yes, significantly more expensive.  But so much nicer to use than the Festool guides.
