Is there a quality hand held oscillating spindle sander out there? All I see are Triton/Wen/Chinese cheap units.

A number of years ago Porter Cable manufactured one.

I have the Triton, haven't used it much, small enough to hold upside down for underneath work.  I have the small table top PC, that works great, for smaller pieces.

I do not have that particular makers but  I do have various others and various sizes.  Some of mine are st least 30 years old.  They work very well with a drill, drill press or a drill held in a Zyliss or similar holder, I've also used with flex extension attached to 1/4 hp motor.  You can deflate them to get a very soft edge or pump up hard for flatter effects.  There is the Sandboss Inflatable drum 3 piece kit, King Arthurs Tools has 5 for small and curved work

Grizzly makes an inflatable hand-held drum with a  ball bearing handle that mounts in a drill. I own a similar drum which made by another company many years ago. The Grizzly can be inflated to be harder or softer depending on the contour being sanded.
