Heresy....

Word of warning on the Gorilla Sleeve, it's length shrinks when expanded to cover the hose/cord. I ordered 11' and it covered about 7' (+/-) of 27mm hose with the cord tucked into it.

The website states the following:
Note - 1' of Gorilla Sleeve Tech Flex hose covers approximately 10" of CT Dust Extractor hose.  Be sure to order approximately 14' to cover the entire length of your 11' standard Festool Dust Extractor Hose.
http://www.festoolproducts.com/Techflex-Gorilla-Sleeve-1-Length-p/nhn1.htm

The above note is for the 27mm hose. I don't know if this hose will fit the two wider diameter Festool hoses. Natively, the Gorilla Sleeve hose is 50mm. I assume, maybe incorrectly it will fit the 36mm hose, but I'm not completely sure about it fitting the 50mm hose. On a guess, I'd say "yes" to it fitting all three sizes ~ obviously different lengths needed for each specific diameter.

I had a real fight getting the 27mm hose and cord inside the sleeve, it gets harder the more hose is inside. There may be a  better technique, I just reversed the tool end of the plugit cord and inserted it partly into the hose, looping the cord forward and then back along the hose, wrapped it for 6"  with electrical tape and started wrestling.

I do not believe the 36mm hose will make it in, but I may be mistaken if there is a better way to install it.

RMW, I just ran out of the hose but I remember, in an older thread (yes, again), someone mentioning that the hose DOES wrap around the 36 mm.  Does anyone recall?

Sean.... Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
I have been looking for a solution like that for a long time.  [thumbs up]

Hmmmm? If only you had one of those tool balancer thingies? Then you could hang the hose from your ceiling without worrying about dragging it across the edges. It's just too bad you didn't think of getting one of these....oh I don't know.....like maybe last fall? hehehe
