Can HK55 blades be used on TS55?
I'm aware Festool says no, but has anyone actually tried? Is it because of riving knife, or because the plate is thinner and can not be tightened properly.
I'd like to know for a fact, no speculations, please.

I have both saws & I have not tried the HK55 blades on the TS55. I have had the TS55s longer than the HK55, I do use TS55 blades on the HK55 with out any problem. I believe the HK55 blades are thinner than the TS55 blades so the riving knife may bind with the thinner blades.

I just tried a HK55 (500459 32 tooth blade)blade on my TS55 and had no issues.
I was a little concerned about the riving knife, but as it will travel independently of the blade and should ride along the top of the board if the kerf is too small, I figured what the he!!, however, it was able to deploy fully in to the narrower kerf without any problem.
I ended up with a clean cut and never saw any impact on my rail splinter guard, all in all I can't figure (yet) why they say it should not be used on the TS55?  [unsure]

TS55 is often criticized for being under powered, but critics overlook the fact that its stock blade is 20% thicker than some competitors (2.2 mm vs 1.8 mm). I thought giving it a "boost" by using a thinner kerf blade. Unfortunately, on the current R version the riving knife is not easily replaceable.
