Here is a version I made over the weekend. Used 3/4" ply for the case and 1/2" for all the drawers. 350mm full extension slides that extend enough beyond the fronts so that you can open the case and get to the tool. Also used the LR-32 to do 32mm holes on the sides so that the slides can be adjust to fit different configurations and systainer sizes.

From the front all loaded.

Great work, Worsham.  And let me say welcome to the forum!  Were they your own design or did you use plans?  I need to make a pair of these or 3 this winter.  Got systainers all over the floor!

worsham,
Thank you very much for posting your project!  And welcome to the forum...

Member-created Sysports is one of the most popular subjects, and we all like to see a new interpretation of this idea.  Yours look great.

Please share more photos of the Sysports (if you have them), and post more of your projects.

You're off to a great start here in the FOG!

Stay in touch,
Matthew

PS: I created a new discussion for you, so your Sysports can be viewed independently from Paul Franklin's worthy and similar concept.

Ok, so this may sound dumb, but how does the 32mm system work for drawer guides?  I'm not that familiar with it.

Nearly identical to mine. Scary. I made the carcass out of solid ash, which turned out to be cheaper than furniture grade plywood and I bought inexpensive wheels from (ahem) Harbor Freight. The main cost were of course the slides--but as your pictures show--they offer unmatched access.

Great work.

JF

I am intrigued about how you attach the slides to shelf-pin holes? Seems like a great idea!
Thanks.

I'm very late to this party, but how tall are your sysports?

One post in eight years, I think you might be out of luck. Should be able to guess it close based on the systainers though.

This might help with dimensions (Height )  and allowing height for each sustainer against the LR-32 system.

Perhaps there is a version in English.

This is both helpful and entertaining but skip to the very end for the dimensions and narrative. Be ready to take notes. Eric goes very fast.

This is one of those "rainy day" projects that never seems to come soon enough but still the gray boxes keep on coming to the door.

That is one amazing setup. Love your drawers. I'm extremely intrigued by what's the brand and model of drawer slide you use in this build.

This guy cost me a lot of money! But I kind of miss him. Eric say something.

I just built a new version of my storage, this time double deep. Mine are 43" in total height, with 3/4" stretchers top and bottom. In the middle there is one each of Sys 1-4.

Nice job. Those will come in really handy. I built one several years ago very similar to yours but it has one more feature. A small door that runs the height of the cabinet but is only a couple of inches wide. When closed it prevents the shelves from rolling out and possibly toppeling the cabinet.

That's a simple but ingenious solution for the drawers opening up. Mind if I steal your idea for my
new trailer?

For those of you who have made cabinets like this, is using full extension or over-extension slides a better option than the Festool Sys-AZ drawer set for making this type of cabinet.

Both options are cheaper when compared to the festool ones, but lack the locking feature so they can extend on their own.

[member=53905]Gregor[/member] You the Festool slides might just spontaneously extend? In that case over-extension drawer slides would be better since, if installed the way intended, they won't do that. I have some I've installed correctly and some that I didn't. I have to reinstall the incorrect slides as they do spontaneously extend when moving the cabinet.
