Home-Made Sysport with Full-Extension Slides

Here is a version I made over the weekend. Used 3/4" ply for the case and 1/2" for all the drawers. 350mm full extension slides that extend enough beyond the fronts so that you can open the case and get to the tool. Also used the LR-32 to do 32mm holes on the sides so that the slides can be adjust to fit different configurations and systainer sizes.

Great work, Worsham.  And let me say welcome to the forum!  Were they your own design or did you use plans?  I need to make a pair of these or 3 this winter.  Got systainers all over the floor!

Ok, so this may sound dumb, but how does the 32mm system work for drawer guides?  I'm not that familiar with it.

Nearly identical to mine. Scary. I made the carcass out of solid ash, which turned out to be cheaper than furniture grade plywood and I bought inexpensive wheels from (ahem) Harbor Freight. The main cost were of course the slides--but as your pictures show--they offer unmatched access.

I'm very late to this party, but how tall are your sysports?

One post in eight years, I think you might be out of luck. Should be able to guess it close based on the systainers though.

I just built a new version of my storage, this time double deep. Mine are 43" in total height, with 3/4" stretchers top and bottom. In the middle there is one each of Sys 1-4.

Nice job. Those will come in really handy. I built one several years ago very similar to yours but it has one more feature. A small door that runs the height of the cabinet but is only a couple of inches wide. When closed it prevents the shelves from rolling out and possibly toppeling the cabinet.

In that case over-extension drawer slides would be better since, if installed the way intended, they won't do that. I have some I've installed correctly and some that I didn't. I have to reinstall the incorrect slides as they do spontaneously extend when moving the cabinet.
