Hi all!

As i learn something new every time i log on, i thought i'd show my homemade sysport as a way of saying thanks!

My current Festool coll... i mean work arsenal consist of:

TS55EBQ
FS/sys2
FS800/2
FS1400/2
Paralell guides with extension
Domino
Domino systainer
Rotex 125
Carvex
Carvex extra's systainer
Sortainer
OF 1400
BS 75
HL 850
CTL36
Workshop cleaning set in SYS IV
1 plug-it hose
1 regular 27mm. hose
1 36mm. hose

Here's a picture of most of it:

I am currently looking at moving house, something which will hopefully see me a little better off for space and the addition of a better workshop. As it stands, this is all i can manage.

I think what you're REALLY doing is just showing off that you have a Carvex and we don't over here.  [tongue]

On the bottom of the rack I also see the systainers of the following Festools:
- BS75 or BS105 belt sander in SYS Maxi
- HL 850 planer in SYS 3

Is that right or are they just empty systainers, because you don't mention them in your list.

nice set up. how much did it cost compared to buying it.

I think this is about one tenth of the cost of buying the sysports. And i used up a lot of leftovers from various projects. In the end, though, my primary reason for doing it like this is it will have to fill the role as MFT as well, for some time to come before we move house.
When we do, i will most probably make an assembly table with the systainers below.

Definitely not empty... Went off to Festool homepages to figure out what to call the addition for the planer to use it as a stationary tool and then forgot to add it and the BS75 as well. The bottom of the Sysport is made to accomodate SYS maxi for the BS 75 and the planer with attachment.

Thanks for all the nice comments! I am getting pretty much ready for a new house with some real workspace!

[eek] Would be a first time chance to do that, if it were so. You have a lot to look forward to, though! I can tell you that...

Good job.  Thanks for your post, it motivated me to get busy building mine!  Soon...[big grin].  I've had the wood and hardware set aside for two months now... [unsure]. Did you do something to make the drawers lock so they won't accidentally open when rolling around?  Been trying to decide how I would do that on mine...  I plan on using something similar that will roll on and off my trailer to keep better organized. [embarassed]

Thanks!

I have drawer slides with a positive stop when fully closed which stops them from just coming out. (This is the bottom mounted variant). This also means there's no sides to the drawers.

In this picture you can see the drawer slides in the empty drawer above the open one:

What about a simple L-shaped flag stop that can be rotated into position?

This thread has gone off topic and there will be a new thread created to house the discussions regarding the Carvex.

After that thread has been created, a message will be created by the system in a separate post.

Thank you for your understanding.

Correction:  The link that that thread is:  Posted Carvex Issues

Machines bought in Norway, almost all accessories are bought in the UK or US. Non-professional use here as well, but bought with professional use in mind in a not to distant future hopefully!

Just out of curiosity, do you Norsk guys have to pay an additional tax for tools used professionally?   [huh]

How about drawer slides that have a firm closed position?  I put some on my workbench sort of suck the drawer shut the last inch.  They then require a tad more effort to pull open to get past that "locked" position.

... Here we go, I remembered what they are:  Self-closing drawer slides.  They wouldn't stay closed if, say, your truck flipped.  But they probably wouldn't open just from the inertia of turning a corner.

No, it's more like the opposite. The professionals gets better bargains on tools and accessories than consumers do. The list price on Festool in Norway is way over all countries I have compared it with so far  [mad]. I got offered 25% off on a Domino, and still it's way over the UK list price  [sad]. Professionals probably gets better offers than I got. I bought my Domino in UK, and even included shipping i saved some $. The list price in Norway for a Domino is approx $1600 including taxes.

Yikes!!!   [scared]  My Domino tool plus the systainer of assorted dominos and bits came to just under $1,100 US.  I can see the attraction for ordering overseas.
