I recently bought a CT36E AC and have problem with the hose fitting accessories. The 3 part plastic extension fits the curved extension properly, but the neither the curved extension nor any of the 3 plastic extensions fit the hose that came with the extractor. Lee Valley (Waterloo) couldn't seem to come up with a proper adaptor either to hook up my detail sander (Festool) to the hose either. Any suggestions?

There is an aftermarket adapter made by Brosson Company available on eBay that connects a 36mm hose to a 27mm tool port

That adapter is not made by Brosson company but by Nilfisk-Alto who make all Festool vacuum cleaner accessories. In Europe Festool now also sells this adapter under their own name. Part number 768135

But that adapter will not solve Arkells' problem because it is made for use with the 27mm port on tools, but not for the wand of the cleaning kit.

The hose that come with the CT36E AC in America is the hose that is meant for use with the Planex drywall sander. Arkell, do you have the Planex sander?

The sleeve on this hose has a bunch of nubs which connect with the planex. These same nubs get in the way when you want to use the cleaning kit.

The only way to be able to use the cleaning kit with the hose is to get rid of these nubs. There are 3 ways I can think of:

1 - If you have the planex you will have to keep using this nubbed sleeve, so the only way to be also able to use the cleaning kit is to get an extra hose, either a 36 or 27mm.
2 - If you don't have the planex you could replace the sleeve on the hose for the standard D36 sleeve which will work fine with the cleaning kit.
3 - Not sure about this, but might work: If you don't want to spend extra money on a new sleeve, cut the nubs off and perhaps it will also fit the cleaning kit. But doing so would make the sleeve less suited for the Planex.

Thank you for your input. Don't have a Planex, but think that I might still have to get the standard D36 sleeve because I can't see how the curved wand will fill once I cut the nobs off. Will put a vernier on the sleeve and the curved wand to see if they mate.

Tom Bellemare (Tool Home) offers a 2' whip adaptor that I use on my sanders with my CT36ac hose. Works quite well for me...

Mikita makes a 27 to 36 mm adaptor that came with my Mikita track saw.  It needed a little buffing on my edge sander, but works well to connect my 150/3 sander to the 36 mm hose.

Not that this will help... but if you get a Bosch 35mm hose, the tool end that comes with it fits directly to the 27mm tools.  I will run down to my shop in a few to snap a pic.  I also loved the price on the 5m hose!
