Hose Adaptor

Is there an adaptor that will allow me to use 27mm hose tools (like the Domino 500) with a 36mm hose on my extractor?

I'd like to keep a 36mm hose on my MIDI for use with a TS55, the Festool planer, etc; but use the adaptor for tools like the Domino 500.

It is a real pain to change hoses!

I have the CT36AC, so this was almost mandatory for me. I have received mine but haven't had a chance to use it yet. I'll report back when I do...

I second the adapter promark747 listed from e-bay. I have it and it works great. Worth the investment for time saved on changing up hoses.

The adapter is only $11.98 but their system will over charge on shipping ($11.88) . However, they will refund $6 if you only order the adapter so the total comes to $17.86.

The 36mm hose, hose nozzle, plus adapter creates an area that is very stiff right where it joins the tool.  The 2' of 27mm hose is much more flexible and makes using the tool much nicer, especially with something you move around a lot like a sander.

I should have mentioned that I also have the rigid adaptor - but don't like it for the reasons Raj stated.

Most places that use air power are familiar with the concept of a 'hose whip' which is usually a ~2' piece of hose at the end of the air line that connects the hose to the tool. A hose whip may also provide reduction from a larger air hose to a smaller, more flexible one right at the tool ... where it counts most. Tom's reducer whip embodies this concept, including the 'reducer' function.

Yah, I should have noted that I used the planex hose, which is incredibly flexible, perhaps more so than the regular 27mm, so I don't notice the issue.
