Im building 13 new build apartments soon. I normally fit doors and frames my self. Im not a carpenter just a developer that does most jobs. My hinges are mostly perfect but I thing the most important job is the door frames. This is where I struggle a bit.

But need more help with this project.

I want a factory finish all fire doors:
Hinges fit perfect
Doors gaps perfect
Door frames fitted perfect so doors hopefully fit without timing doors
Main doors will need acustic strips

So how do I know or find someone to do this.
They way trades work these days want the big bucks but don't do a good job and get in and out as quick as they can.
So I want a professional thats experienced and cares.

The Job is in Lincoln, UK if any one can help

I can do it.  Is airfare from the states included? I might have to borrow some tools,  mine have a different plug end.  LOL

If I was close I'd do it.
From my experience in the trade the way to get best results is to have door frames/linings made and the doors pre-hung in a joinery shop and the the joinery company to install the frames/linings. Just make sure whoever builds the walls does it right too or it just makes a mockery of the joiners efforts.
So ring around some local joinery workshops, you can get them to fit locks and handles at the same time.

have you tried to import european standard doors?
you can pick and choose the fire rating and finish in what ever you like.
I used to fit these back in germany all the time. They come pre hung in the sense that every 860 mm door blade will fit in any 860mm door lining  theonly thing you have to remember when you order some that you dont mix up left and right.

I've done the same with the 'all in door' kits in Germany, I have to say that they are no match for what can and has been done in any of the workshops I have been in. However, if Peshi wants to go in that direction I know someone who has set aside part of his workshop as a showroom for someone who does import them already.... not sure about the acoustic side of the brief though, it never came up in conversation.

Specialist joinery products in heanor should be able to supply the gear you need.
Its where all our firedoors come from.
