how to keep glue off the MFT3

For the first time, I used my MFT3 for a glue up. I used the qwas dogs to make sure a drawer was perpendicular, and it worked great.

I did have some glue stick the drawer to the MFT3 top. I would like to apply a liberal dose of mini wax, but am afraid the surface might become too slick so that wood won't hold down with the clamps. Anyone use wax?

I've used Butchers Bowling Alley Wax in the past.  I've also used wax paper to prevent glue from soaking into my MFT tops.  The bowling alley wax isn't slippery at all.

I also use wax paper under glue ups on the MFT and I do it quite often.

Side note: you'd think bowling alley wax would imply a very slippery surface. True story, the first time I ever bowled I stepped over the line into the lane and fell straight back on my ass

Wax paper for me as well.  Works get for glue ups.

Rosin paper for me and it works well and you can get huge rolls of it.
