I own at Rotex 150. Is there any reason to get the ETS EC 150?

Your comfort. The Rotex is a great sander in my usage but if I don't need the aggressive mode I will skip right over to my ETS for the majority of finish sanding.

I use the RO150 for 60-100 then switch to the ETS from 120 to 220. I find the ETS is a lot easier to “drive”. It never wants to go wobbly as does the RO.

^ Rotex will do any finish just fine, ETS will make it a bit easier though.

I have both a Rotex 150 and an ETS-150/3. As far as I'm concerned, these are "complimentary" tools. I only use the Rotex for heavier work where either the rotary mode or larger orbit is beneficial to a project. It's a two-hand tool and that's not practical for the majority of the sanding I do. The ETS 150/3 does 95% of the work in that respect. But I like both and am glad I have both available.

I own a RO150. Due to the recon sale I went and got the EC 150 3. I used it for the first time yesterday. I must say it is nice. For final finishing with high grit paper 220 and up, it does a very nice job. I cant say whether it does a good enough job thats better than the RO150 can do. But I can say Ill be using the heck out of it for final finishing cleaning up th surface getting rid of the swirl marks etc
