I was searching for a hilti 267E circ saw for just that reason - times when you need a bit more depth, like cutting down exterior doors, etc. The Hilti 267E saw (discontinued 6-7 years ago...) takes a standard 7 1/4" blade, rides on the Festool rails, has good dust collection, dual bevel locks (for superior rigidity compared to standard sidewinders), and a lot more power than the TS55.
So - great compliment to your TS55 saw, but virtually unobtainable in the US. A little while back, I posted a WTB ad on my local CL and actually found one a guy who had bought one years ago and wasn't using and bought it from him for $60! Got it cleaned and adjusted, gonna be a keeper. In fact, I'm selling off my other jobsite circ saws as the Hilti makes a great knock-around saw as well as a guide rail/sut collection saw here and there. They sold new for about $350 when they were available. It's a gear-driven saw, not a direct drive, so it's louder than a normal circ saw, but also has variable speed, so it's well suited for some metal and plastic work too.
Hard to find, but worth it if you can.
