Made some drawer boxes up today for my xl mft bench, ts55 no dust, domino no dust, ets125 no dust. Dewalt 1/4 router for grooves, dust everywhere!!!! Festool spoils you too much, got so used to no dust and thought...nah it will be ok. Wrong! Already tapped up Charlie (nuts and bolts) off I go.

Dam Festool, why did I start!!!

My experience has always been that the OF1010 is a brilliant bit of kit! It is not as expensive as the other Festool routers, and not every routing job needs 12mm or 1/2" shank bits. For tasks such as drilling shelf-pin holes the lighter return springs of the OF1010 vs the OF1400 is a major advantage. And, for most tasks the OF1010 has excellent dust collection.

Back in 2006 when I bought my first OF1010 (which was my first Festool plunge router) I already owned 12 other routers including 6 PC7518. I bought the OF1010 to drill shelf-pin holes, then I found so many other tasks it did well that I kept on buying more OF1010.
