Installed, Festool CT26 (2018) and Oneida Ultimate Dust Deputy

I thought Festool would void the warranty if an aftermarket device like the UDD is attached.  Has that changed?
Exactly how would they know? Its not like it makes or requires any alterations be done to the CT vac.

I can't answer that but I do remember some discussion about this some time ago because the static could fry the electronics.  I think UDD now has a grounding strap to alleviate this issue but since I don't own one, I can't say for sure.

It does, and they fixed that problem years ago and to the best of my knowledge no one has had any issues since, but still, how would they have known?

they probably have hidden cameras in the case to see what we are doing.  [eek] [big grin]

LOL THAT I might believe! That would at least offer SOME justification for the overpriced amounts they charge and annual price increases for their products!

Probably not, unless their electronics have built-in chips like the SawStop cartridges. Every activated cartridge can be examined and data like when it was activated, if contact of human body parts was involved, etc. could be collected.

very nice, thanks for sharing all those pics.
I have only the dust deputy (black version), and building the box for it (will be hooked to a CTL SYS). I definitely need to buy a 90° angle duct now:)
