Interesting improvement to the Domino locking levers

I've read even products like the Domiplate can interfere with the warranty so I guess I was being overly concerned.

Are you able to provide a source for where you read this?

I was going to let this obvious falsehood slide, but since you mentioned it...

I'm sure it was read on The Internet, so it must be true.

As with the lever, there is nothing about the Domiplate that leaves any indication that it was ever installed, so there is no need to ship the unit with it attached unless it becomes permanently affixed to the unit somehow.

There is also nothing inherent to the Domiplate that changes the function of the DF500 or DF700 enough to cause warranty issues.

It's utter nonsense.

I'm sorry I can't recall if it was an article or a video.  I didn't know the validity of it which is why I asked regarding this upgrade.  If I run across it again, I will post a link.

I agree with most of what you said but I also know companies can be funny in certain situations, which is why came to ask...

[member=75217]squall_line[/member] is 100% correct here. There is a nifty little piece of legislation called the "Magnuson-Moss warranty act" from 1975. It clearly points out that warranties cannot be voided for unrelated modifications. Your new wheels didn't cause an engine failure. Your aftermarket stereo system didn't cause your brakes to fail.....etc.
This applies to anything with a warranty. It does not require a manufacturer to give you a warranty, but if they do, it must comply. Of course this is US only.

I use a Domiplate almost every time I use my Domino and figured the comment was purely hearsay. If the source is found, it would be fun to read and see how the author arrived at their warranty busting conclusion.
