Is there a Festool Tool or accessory that you regret purchasing.

Carvex 420 Jigsaw.
C.M.S. fence for table saw.
C.M.S. extension tables.
Hose deflector.
Compact cleaning kit.
SYS open toolboxes sizes 1 and 2.
SYS-Roll trolley.
All gone via eBay.

The TSC dust chute that prevents hose droop on a TS-55R. For a few hours maybe.
If it only rotated from 8 to 4 o'clock it would be perfect, instead of very annoying.

That goofy tape measure. Would never retract correctly.

+1 on this. My main gripe is that it's inches and cm and the inches side always seems to be on the side where I'm trying to measure cm.

Mine retracts OK, but:
a) It only extends qround 70cm before bending -- not good;
b) The ink on the labelling is a bit too thick, so your eyes get lost in a sea of ink;
c) It doesn't feel like Festool quality and certainly doesn't justify the cost.

Taking inside measurements with the little window thing it good though. But other cheaper tapes do this too.

I regret buying a 15V drill/driver. It was my first Festool purchase. If I'd known how great Festool would turn out to be and how many tools run on 18V, I would have bought an 18V one.

Me too, the tape measure. It has never closed on its own since I bought it a few years ago. But like most koolaid drinkers, it's still on my MFT for the occasional layout though truthfully I use my Fastcaps more often.

cl12 drill ts15 drill and trion jig saw.  Totally unacceptable tools, in the systainer using makita, dewalt tools.  I have no issue with ALL of the other festool tools i own like, kapex, ts75, six 1080's, mfs 400 and 700, all of the sanders toolie tools tapes, ETC ETC I am a Festool Nut, but for me NO DRILLS AND NO JIG SAW

You just bought the wrong drills in the line up. I had the C12 and agree, which is why I sold and got the CXS, and the T18. Potent combo.

I'll have to take your word for it, I never got past the retract to know.  [big grin]
I think they were made that way I once saw a utube video where a guy repaired it. I thought about it, then thought why bother?

10meter combined hose/plug it - was going to use it outside to sand old paint with the RAS115 (but that model still hasn't been updated to have a round dust port or plug it cord...)
Carvex accessory kit
MFS routing system
HKC Cordless Saw - no power, completely bogged down in pressure treated for anything past 90 degree end cuts
Vecturo (wish there was a cordless model)
MFT tables - too small to be useful and no storage space under for all the small tools/junk that accumulates while working

HKC55.  Severely underpowered.  FSK rail angle marks not accurate.  If I had used it a little more in the 30day period I would have returned it.

Sysrock, lousy FM reception.

My add-on to this thread is the Festool miter gauge for the tracksaw. First it required immediate modification to be functional as it didn't have enough friction to hold an angle. Second it...well sucks. Fortunately aftermarket companies have stepped in and filled the void.

Concur wholeheartedly.  In my world, the Angle Unit is the most utterly useless of all the Festool goodies I've ever tried.  Mine came as part of an accessory kit.  Everything else was useful, but not the Angle Unit.

The centrotec seemed ideal, and I got it marked down.

But other than "as an idea" it is crap... The SYSTEM is a bespoke size (6-mm) no one else in the world uses, and the bits rust quick.

I bought the Festool Guide Rail Accessory Kit to cut 90deg angles on 4x8 roofing sheets. The angle finder is easily bumped out of square and is hard to set exactly right.  Didn't work for my purpose.

I bought the GRS-16 Guide Rail Square from TSO Products.  Works great.

Centrotec 3mm countersink with depth stop bought 8 or 9 years ago and still used on every job.

Little did it realise it would thin end of such an expensive wedge  [big grin]

The dust bag for the Festool EHL 65 EQ GB Planer is a complete & utter waste of money.

Literally NO dust whatsoever goes into the bag & i really do mean NO dust no matter what angle you plane at all the dust is ejected out the bottom of the planer. The planer works fantastic with dust extraction hooked up but seriously do not purchase the dust collection bag.

Tape measure is horrible.  Tough to read, doesn't retract.

Parallel guide set.  Too damn short, clumsy, even with extensions sucks to cut narrow stock.

My older PB jigsaw I regret.

The parallel guides.

The quick angle gizmo for the tracks also.

Just bought the CXS and immediately returned it.  Damn thing wouldn't even sink a screw.  Hoping the PDC I had my dealer order as replacement is a hell of a lot better.

I can say that returning the CXS because it doesn't suit your needs and then moving to the PDC is a huge jump in desired features.  I watched the PDC in action in the hands of testers at the Festool Connect event.  Smiles and really big eyes.  Probably a few sore wrists.
