JessEm Version of Domino

saw this this morning. good for a few floating tennons on a jobsite or something but not gonna be anywhere near as fast or flexible as a domino if you need to do a lot. Might grab one though

This is for the weekend warrior who is happy using craftsman tools. But I really can't see this being in the company of anything marked festool.

I can imagine quite a few people being happy using this ... as long as they haven't already been spoilt by having a Domino.

This is certainly no replacement for a domino, but I'm considering getting it for my on site kit just for one off tennons and small jobs. Knowing other jessem products, I'm certain it should be a solid build quality. A slow device but compact and it's the light weight and small size that's appealing to me. Plus not a bad price all things considered. If bridge city put this up it would be $600, not slagging their tools, just saying.

Hmmm, I guess why not.  Great in a pinch for in the field work or if your Domino is MIA.  Does seem clunky, a little too involved, "difficult, long" setup when compared to the Domino and not really scaleable at all.  But hey, you get what you pay for and for what they're asking, why the heck not.

Very clever idea but, at some pint I just take out my mallet and chisel and chop the mortises by hand.  I think I'll stick with my Domino Joiner [wink]
