Couldn't find anything on the forum; any guidance for jigsaw blades as in what does the numbering system mean, tpi, and can you really plunge cut with the Carvex?  I downloaded the blade guide but it doesn't offer much.

Joe, welcome to the forum.

TPI = teeth per inch. The number on the blade is the length of the blade, in millimeters. Check out the PDF I'm attaching below for more info. If you still have questions, let us know and we'll help out.

Shane & Phil,

Thanks, both for the welcome and the info.

I joined the forum after my second Festool product and promptly forgot it.  Obviously, the forum is just as good as the tools.  Thanks again.

TPI I knew but didn't see a reference to tpi on the blade guide.

Quick comment about Festool.

Like many, shied away due to price.  Have since learned they they are no more costly than less expensive brands due to quality and the resultant longevity.  Still having problems biting the bullet for a Kapek.  Some day.

Two kinds of tools on the planet...Festool...and everything else.

Good day and a good new year to all.
