JLC New England 2014

Cool I will be there [smile] thought I missed signing up. ty shane for clearing this up. Tim

I am in for another great day of fun!  Hopefully I am as lucky this year as I was last year with the raffle!

I missed last years and it sounded like a good time, this year will be tough to beat.  Shane and crew will manage something I'm sure.

Some place....like Houston Tx would be more central for everyone to join in....just saying....ok...it would be MY backyard  [big grin]

I'll be there!  Shane, you set the bar pretty darned high last year.  Looking forward to seeing how you'll top it this year!  A suggestion: complimentary Syslites for all attendees?

Last year we pulled out all the stops just to get others to come this year. Bring your Sys-Toolbox with you. We want them back. And pack a lunch.  [poke] Of course, just kidding.

Is the Festool Connect after hours? WOndering if it is feasible to do some of the JLC events during the day and still do FC.

Connect is on the day prior to JLC. No overlap.

Thanks.  I am not quite getting it, because in a previous post you indicated Connect is 3/20 but on the JLC Live site they have events scheduled 3/19, 3/20, 3/21 and 3/22.

So when you say there is no overlap, perhaps you are referring to the exhibit days which are 3/21-22 rather than the conference which is 3/19-22?

Jeff

Correct, no overlap of the show. There are clinics that run on the 19th and 20th. Sorry if my post was misleading.

If you intend to attend the clinics, you can still come and go from Connect throughout the day. We will be live streaming and posting video of the event in case you miss something you wanted to see.

Classes are offered the first two days.  JLC includes those in the dates of the show.  The exhibition hall is open on the Friday and Saturday.  So Festool Connect doesn't interfere with the Exhibition Hall days - which is what most attendees are interested in.

OOPS!  Shane beat me to it.  AGAIN.  [poke]

Got it, thanks to both.  I have booked the hotel and registered @ JLC but only for the exhibit, this leaves Thursday free for Connecting.

Standing by for further details.

Jeff

Hey Guys,
Planning on attending this year, any suggestions on a really nice clean hotel in the area?
Wife is coming with me for the day, as we will be heading to our Cape house after, to check on it after the winter.
Thanks,
John

We've stayed at the Biltmore and Courtyard in previous years. Both were fine and within walking distance of the convention center. This year, we're in the Omni, which is actually attached to the convention center. I haven't stayed there but several of the forum members have and it sounded like their experiences were good.

See you there.

Guys, I have not attended JLC Providence and am not able to go this year.

However, over the years I have done entertainment projects in Providence. I really like the service and so on at The Omni. The other hotels Shabe mentioned are also very nice for business travelers.

Stayed at the Omni the last two years , very nice rooms.  I didn't need / make use of much service but it did seems good. It is attached to the convention center, parking garage , and mall. All indoor connections. It is also the priest of the hotels around the convention center area.

I stayed at the Hilton and the Omni.  Couldn't get free wifi in my room (kinda important to me  [eek]) at the Hilton and then had a great experience the next year at the Omni.
