I have the domino joiner 500 and I'm trying to join two pieces of 1/2 plywood cut at a 45 degree mitre. I'm using a 4mm cutter with the 4mm X 20mm tenon. Does anyone have a good setup so I won't keep plunging through my material. I have the angle set at 45 the height set to 0 and the plunge depth to 20(any shorter and the tenon sticks out too much. ) Any ideas?

You can use pvc pipe to shoten the plunge depth. Look in the supplementle manual I believe Rick actually gives the cut lengths for given depths.

I don't use the depth stops at all. I just set the depth I want by eye, as I would with a drill press, and tighten the knob. More that enough resistance to over-feeding.

I had this same issue last week, however minus the 45. I simply ended up cutting a 1/4" off the domino. After that, perfecto!!!!!!

How do you disengage the depth stop setting on the DF500?

I think you are talking about the stepped block for setting the height of the fence. TS is talking about plunge depth. (No knobs to turn there)

Oops I'm not so handy with tapatalk. I meant to quote Nick C's post in the post above...
