Just thought I'd post a problem and solution I found with my Kapex 60 (240v). I was finding that it was not coming on until about half way down the chop action so I was loosing a good 20-25mm depth of cut. I had noticed previously that the LED blade light was not on in the upper position but as it came on when operated I just carried on. Anyway, it got worse over time and had to be lower before it would fire up. Well I spoke to Festool and the solution is a new lead (item 707049). The bend in the cable from the slide guide to the motor is a bit tight so the lead had fractured inside. As a temporary measure, I've cut the 'bad' bit out and reconnected it to confirm the fault, all working fine.
