Very cool! Thanks for the info, Shane.Shane Holland said:It's fairly easy to peel the decal back, make the adjustment and then reapply it if you don't want to puncture it.
But, to answer your question, you can order a replace decal from our service department. Their number is below in my signature.

Got that, thanks! I was just a little Foggy on which adjustment to tweak if the laser lines move when moving the saw head up and down? I wanted to see the procedure of where to put the saw head when making which adjustment...saw head position forward, back, middle, up or down, during which adjustment? Or, is it that you just tweak until it works in all positions? Sorry for making this complicated. I just don't know and don't want to screw it up.Shane Holland said:darita said:Is the a YouTube on the laser adjustment?
Not that I'm aware of, but it is documented in the supplemental manual that I sent you a link to via PM.
Thanks. Upright and forward or upright and back?copcarcollector said:The demo I saw was with the head in the upright position. The lasers were aligned and then they worked in all other operating positions. But--- I have not done it myself!
darita said:Turns out, the decal was pretty easy to peal back. I don't think I did any damage to it, so it should fold back to it's original position quite well. If not, I know I can get a replacement decal now, so thanks for the info and thanks for the help.
For those who wonder why all the fuss over a decal, well, I care for my tools like I care for my cars. I use them, but don't abuse them. I keep them as clean as possible and as original as possible. If and when I do sell a tool or a car, I like to be able to hand it off to the next person, in as close to the same condition as I got it in. In that way, I feel I got my use and pleasure out of owning the tool, but did no harm to it. Guess it's just the way I feel about tools and cars.

Thanks for the warning. Fortunately, this miter saw has a home in my shop. I have another that lives on a mobile stand. I'll keep an eye on those lasers as well. Don't quite understand why you have to poke holes to get to the adjustment in the first place, but at least replacing the decal will keep the dust out.skids said:darita said:Turns out, the decal was pretty easy to peal back. If you move your saw around alot, you are going to find yourself peeling that sticker back alot. Lasers come out of adjustment fairly easy. MIght as well call festool and order a case of em!
I know you just spent $1375 on a miter saw, trust me I feel your pain. Coming to grips with makes us do odd things, like worry about holes in stickers (it's a crappy design to be honest)..But alas! The truth is, these tools look alot sexier when they have dings and dust all over em.
