Just thought that I would post an update on the problems that I was having w/ a Kapex that had to be sent in for service. The original posting is below [http://festoolownersgroup.com/festool-tool-problems/kapex-problem/] and there is no need to repeat it all. The bottom line is that Festool fixed it the first time that it got sent in but that it was damaged on the return and I could not get it to cut at 90 degrees throughout the length of the crosscut; it would start at 90 degrees vertical but end at about 87 degrees. The guys at Festool simply could not have been more helpful; they initially called me [!] after the posting, then sent me a box to return the saw, had it fixed and perfectly calibrated and shipped back in under a week. ultimately, they replaced both fences, limit screws, blade and flanges, and a few other parts. I fired it up and it cut dead perfectly the first time....I could not ask for better service and wanted to post this to show how dedicated they are to getting it right should something ever go wrong w/ their products  [thanks]

Termite,

I am glad that you got your problem resolved.  I cannot imagine getting service any better than what Festool USA provides.

Not only are they helpful when you call, but they are also friendly.  This helps cheer you up when you are naturally depressed over malfunctioning equipment or frustrated over the assembly of a tool or accessory.

I am the owner of many festool tools.  I have never needed any service help yet, and I continue to buy because of testimonials like this.
