I'm having an issue thats not a big deal right now but I'm worried about down the road.

The issue:    Bevel Lock and Bevel Range Selector

When the bevel lock is unlocked and the Range Selector is in 0-45 its supposed to stop. But mine gives a slight click and keeps going.

If I stop right on that click it cuts accurate. But my concern is that click is getting less and less.

Is this some thing I can fix my self as I can't be without my saw since its the only saw that I have for crown.

Also, what hours can I call Festool customer service. I left a message but never got a call back.

The detent for zero is basically a notch in a plate that a pin rides on. I don't know what may have caused the issue with yours, but if the head of the saw is forced beyond zero you can physical override that detent and that can wear down the detent. Like I said, I'm not accusing you of that, just offering an example of what could cause the problem you're describing. The service department would be in the best position to answer your question, but the plate may be something you can replace yourself, not sure.

Shoot me your phone number and a good time to reach you and I'll see that someone's in touch with you tomorrow. sho@festoolusa.com

Thanks,
Shane
