There's a Yellow sticker with some wood underneath it which was stuck to the deck by the Right edge where you have the 60 degree mark ... what is this for?  Was this for protection during shipping?  Should I throw it out, stick it somewhere else, save it in case I have to ship the saw back someday?

Here's the sticker I'm referring to ...

Hello

Unboxing the kapex REB and this sticker is applied to the base/fence. What is it for or what does it signify? Tried digging through the manual but couldn’t find it. Thank you.

Someone asked exactly the same question yesterday but didn't get an answer!

Im pretty sure it marks the parking position - used when transporting alone, and almost certain when when collapsing on and transporting on the UG cart.

Look closely at (the not so clear) drawings and explanations in the manual.

I’m leaning toward parking position too, appreciate the thought. I had wondered that as I knew it was supposed to be parked there, but thought it odd they’d include a sticker as they don’t leave them for anything else obscure.

I hope thats all it is.  When I set mine up last week, I looked at and wondered 'what the heck is this'.  Now I can't find it.  I still haven't found the tool to allow you to remove the fences.

There are two Allen keys if you got the stand ... one for the stand and one for the fences/lasers.  The little one was stuck into one of the pieces of styrofoam.  I was hoping to find a place to hide it but didn’t. I believe I threw them in a ziplock bag and wrote Kapex in permanent marker on it as I’ve so many loose odds and ends bolts, screws, washers, etc. with no idea what product they came from!!

My Allen key was used to adjust the lasers.

They say the lasers come factory set but I know for sure the Left one isn’t even near the edge of the blade. When you adjusted your lasers, did you make them so the cut is on the inside or outside of both lasers?  I suspect the only way to make the laser stay in the same place regardless of blade height is to set it so the cut is on the inside of the lasers which is fine but just curious how you set it up.

Mine came with the strange little shim taped to the same location - still have no idea what it is for........

I wonder if the shim is to make the sticker easier to remove?

Yep, that’s it!  I’ve so many spare ones from different kits but it’s nice when you have things in little bags which are labeled and you’re not wondering, “what’s this for?”.
