Large Cutting Surface for Track Saw (TS 75 EQ)?

I use the 2" 4x8 sheet of foam. Mine is purple. I have not seen any issues with blade wear to date.

I am in northeast Mississippi and can find no one within a 100 mi radius that carries are will order anything less than a load of the 2" to 4" thick 4' x 8' sheets of foam.  Anyone know where such can be found in these parts?

Not sure why you need such a thick sheet. I just lower my blade just enough to cut through the material.

Maybe try a shipping store that may carry real thick sheets of styrofoam?

I just googled Home Depot and they operate 5 stores in MS, and Lowes operates 16 stores in MS. Both HD & Lowes advertise that they stock foam board insulation in their stores. HD stocks Owens Corning and Lowes stocks Styrofoam. Even if they didn't have the thickness you need in stock, you can order it on-line and have it shipped free to the store of your choice for pickup.

Thanks much!  I had asked the Pro Services Desk at local Lowes and was told 1/2" thick was all they could get; basically same story at closest HD - 1 in MS and 1 in AL.  Didn't think to go on-line and order it that way.  I'll try that and let you know how it works out.

When I bother, I use a couple of 2" thick, 2' x 8' slabs of whatever foam is available at the Borg when I need it.  My cutting table is VERY simple, and when it gets cut beyond usefulness, it becomes fuel in my woodstove.

I have foldable metal saw horses. I like the idea of just adding some extrusions between them. Simple.

My shop is in the basement and lugging 4x8 sheets of ply downstairs is a PITA, so when summer arrives, I need something simple to setup outside and simple to transport. This sawhorse based bench fits the bill for me. It takes literally 2-3 minutes to setup. No clamps to adjust or bolts to tighten. You can see in the pictures below how compact it is to store and transport. All this fits in the trunk of my car.

Nope.  I did them with my old sidewinder.  I don't have a Kapex yet.  Just laid everything out with a pencil and square, then cut away.

I like how these saws can cut oak and teak and other woods, but some people have a fear of cutting foam.
It flies through foam like it is made out of air.

I regularly use foam underneath my workpiece.  I read the comments about cutting foam and wondered about them but I'll just keep forward with using mine.

As a sidebar I am installing a floor in my house that is the hardest stuff I have come across.  I had a scrap in a bowl of water for 24 hours and it didn't swell, cut, deform, or the finish fail.  It is tough on blades but my wife will be buying my a replacement Kapex blade when this one is done - or sooner.
