Line laser levels

I find for door linings and units an old fashioned level is quicker and more accurate
i have a dewalt line laser which is very robust, the pendulum is locked when it is on its side and use it for boxings, or anything i need to plumb as its very quick to put the laser on the floor and line it up where i want to fix, also very handy for pelmets round glassed areas for suspended ceilings

Who mentioned door linings?  The only time I used my laser for door linings was to get the heads all the same height I had 6 doors in one room to do and they where 2.6 meters high they had to be bang on the same height cus the coving went past the frames by 10 mm this was because they wanted all  6 of the doors (secret) discreet.  So no handles and no frame on show plaster board.  Frames where rebated leaving only 5mm for the metal bead to sit on so from the front all you could see was a black line between the door and metal bead.

I also did the suspended ceiling for that room and the laser helped to get the ceiling bang on the same so everything was bang on lol

Bang on! oh yeah!

Just reading this thread - good info.

JMB.  Are you really wanting the clamp that goes with Bosch Quigo?

Just Googled.  Lowest price I saw quickly was £21.14 inc. pp from:
http://www.tools4trade.com/d-1122033-bosch-mm02-multi-mount-for-quigo.aspx
They have to get in, so (they say) 4/5 days delivery.

The Bosch part number (for the MM2 mount) is:  060362100.  So maybe order through a preferred dealer if you want.
Wouldn't give me a price, as don't have an a/c with them.

Any verdict on the Bosch GLL3-80? I like the features and figured it might become a popular choice but so far that hasn't seemed to be the case. Is it respectable? It is monkeypants? I'm hungry.

got 1 3 week or so ago, i think its awsome. better than the cross line jobs that most others use.

At the budget end, picked up a Draper Cross Line Level - about £60. Very pleased with it thus far.

I got one a while back.Like Dean says - it's a crackin laser.

Dean & Nigel:

I received the 'Bosch GLL3-80' laser a couple of days ago and it looks to be a very good laser with lots of uses. One thing I have noticed after a couple of days though is some "false" light appearing that I didn't notice at first. They could be caused by internal reflections within the laser and the glass housings.

Since you guys have the same laser I wondered if you've observed this as well?

- Kristian

UPDATE: The laser has been compared with Nigel's and it's clearly without faults and highly recommendable from my point of view.
