Locked up LR32

Couple years back I purchased an LR 32 system to do some onsite  euro boxes for commercial applications. I found it to be rather slow as I had to push the lever rather hard which resulted in a snapping type of motion to release the pin. I put away for a while  and relied on some 32mm templates to drill for shelf pins. Recently I tried using it again and it's worse than before. It will no longer snap to release the pin. I googled the problem but came up with no results except videos of the system in use. Needless to say I was amazed at the efficiency of this system. So I took the plate to my local festool dealer to be sent in for repair. They called festool and told them about my problem and the reply was "we don't repair accessories".
Anyone had a similar experience with the LR32 sliding plate? Any suggestions on getting this problem fixed?
Any input appreciated.

Don't mean to be rude, but have you tried lubricating it?  You didn't mention anything about what you tried in your post.

The pin on my LR32 plate is getting a little sticky after a fair amount of use over the years.  I haven't looked at it in a while, but as I recall it doesn't look to be easily repairable.  A bit of lube helped some.  It's a shame to hear Festool's response.  This accessory is expensive and it shouldn't be seen as disposable.

Welcome to the forum.. hopefully you can get it figured out.

Thanks for the replies and advice. I would have never thought that a simple thing like squirting a small amount of oil would have had much of an effect on a small pin poking through a thin plate, I just assumed that it was an alignment issue. It's now functioning properly.
Thanks again

This happened to mine. It would get stiff or lock up every once and a while. Lube works for a short while. I found A burr developed between the plate hole and pin. I disassembled the spring detent assembly and reamed the hole and polished  the pin with emery paper. Reassembly is tricky but doable. I think I just used pliers to pop the spring clip on and off.  Have not had an issue since.

Let me know if this makes since.
