The older style trimming attachments for the kapex are also compatible with the mft3. The profile has a T-slot in the rear so it slides onto the angle unit like the regular fence; but because of the height of the profile it won't fit below the guiderail.

I believe it does not work on the MFT/3 because of the new v-groove.
Is the stop flag that comes with the MFT/3 not usable? (One needs the fence of course).

Not sure why not, but there are other ways to accomplish the same thing. Could be the risk pf trapping the off cut and causing kickback.

I modified the longitudinal stop to work with the MFT/3 by using some aluminum pieces to adapt it.

I used two pieces of aluminum to extend the height of the stop to accomodate the MFT/3

The aluminum was 3/4 x 1/8 stock tapped with a 10/32 screw and washer on each piece.
Works great.

I can honestly say that I didn't remember that accessory. Of course that might be because it was posted in my pre-MFT-convert phrase when I thought a table full of holes was dumb. [doh] [doh] [doh] [doh]

I am confused on how you are attaching the stop to your MFT/3. It seems as though those two aluminum pieces are too long. As you can see in the pic below, the holes on the stop are only about 12mm away from the channel where the feather key is. Would you mind clarifying? I assume you have the arm of the stop resting flat on the MFT/3 surface.
