I am in need of a large French Curve or something similar that will work for this application.  In the drawing below you will see a low wall at 42" tall and then 3 sliding glass windows above it.  The glass is indicated by the hatched area.  I have to apply frosted window film to a bunch of these windows and at the top they want this wavy pattern as you can see.  The only way to really do this is to make templates, do it free hand, or use something like a french curve.  It you make a hand made template then you might as well free hand it so I am really pushing the idea of finding a large French curve or something similar thats solid and hasd some thickness to it.  The overall window size is 40" x 72" so that can give you an idea of just how large of a French curve type tool I need.  I don't think the small french curves will cut it being that the radii are so large.  All Ideas are welcome.  Thanks.

Could you just use a strip of 6mm MDF with a small hole in each end, and bend it with a piece of string between the holes (effectively making a 'bow', as in bow & arrow)?

Then you can get the curve spot on, and it'll be repeatable across all the windows.

Even if you could find french curves that large, I suspect the cost would make it far more economical to make some kind of template.

I would speculate that the cost of a large french curve type tool is not outragous and the cost of it would be taken out of the time it would take to make templates and materials.  I'm keeping all your ideas in mind.

A graphic artist or sign painter might well use the smaller FC and then blow it up to any size imaginable.
