LR32 Kit & OF1400... Am I missing something?

Went to use my newly purchased LR32 kit with my OF1400.
While connecting the OF1400 to the LR32 baseplate, I noticed that it seems to be missing a part... the pad on the right side of the bottom of the plate...
or is that how it is suppose to look?
The manual seems to show two attached to the bottom. At first I thought maybe it had come unscrewed and was rolling around in the box, but the pad on the left is riveted on.

Ablythe. I checked out my lr32 plate and I have two on mine. My suggestion is return to dealer for a replacement

Andrew, it's probably to call Festool in the morning since they'll likely send a replacement out right away.

Ablythe - I have no idea what your experience level is (I am just a hobbyist myself) but I spent a fair amount of time using the LR32 system over the last few days.  Since you are about to get your replacement I figured I'd pass along a tidbit to save you from having to rack your brain to understand why your holes on opposite sides of a cabinet won't line up quite right...make the heights of your cabinets all in 32mm increments.  That way your rail stops will bump up to your cabinet end at both ends and you can reference from either end and your holes will still line up. 

[Sorry to hijack your thread, but I figured I'd mention it.  This may be obvious to most, but it took me a while to figure it out.  Maybe I just have an unusually small brain...]

Thanks for the tip Brian... I'm green, not just the Festool kind  [big grin], so I'll take all the tips I can get.
I knew it was important to keep measurements divisible by 32, but your explanation just made the light come on for me.

Being "green", I would suggest getting into one of the classes offered by Festool in either Las Vegas or Indianapolis, particular the Introduction to Festool.  You'll learn a lot, they are great classes

This is excellent advice.  I did the Doors and Drawers class in Indiana and the amount of stuff that you learn is actually overwhelming.  It's totally worth it though, and if you weren't a Festool disciple before going, you will be when you leave.
