Mafell circular saw - KSP 55 / 36V

ksp55 battery saw is not 36V, but 18V. It use one OR two 18 V battery...

As does the Festool TSC55. From the Festool UK website:

"Flexible dual battery concept: can be operated with two 18-volt battery packs (36V) for maximum power or one 18-volt battery pack for low weight"

Not sure exactly how the '36 Volt' statement comes into play, as I thought that when it had 2 batteries installed it was *STILL* an 18 volt saw, but with twice the current available resulting in more power?

Edit - Translated and cleaned up with the help of Google Translate from the german announcement of the TSC55 says this:

Variable dual battery concept

The double battery system enables use of all 15V and 18V lithium-ion battery packs from Festool. The system makes the use of one or two batteries possible - in any combination: two 18V, one 18V and one 15V, or two 15V - depending on the wishes and needs of the artisan. If maximum power is the goal, it can be achieved with two 18 volt battery packs, for a power of 36V. Where lighter weight is desired, the use of only one Battery Pack (either 18V or 15V) is possible.

I got a lot of systainers with Festools but for saws I have switched to Mafell. I have tried both and Mafell is in a league above Festool in this area IMHO. That KSS80 is a thing of beauty!

Do you know if that dust bag will be available for use with my TS55REQ?

I have bought this set for my TS55 REBQ. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FESTOOL-500393-CHIP-COLLECTION-BAG-10015824-ADAPTER-FOR-TS55-PLUNGE-SAW-/111479733211?pt=UK_Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM&hash=item19f4b5bbdb

Yo will need to swap out the current hose connector to one that fitted to a TSC55. It taken me less than 5 minutes to do this conversion.

I must admit that I have paid £36 including postage earlier this year (around 3-4 months ago)

Good Luck
